Severe Weather

Okay, so I'm kind of freaking out! We are suppose to have really bad, severe, freaky weather tonight. The weather people are saying it's going to be worse than expected. I am hoping that they are just on high alert because of the bad tornados that we have had across the country lately and that things won't really be that bad. But, I am scared because of the bad tornados that have been happening. It seems worse than usual. So, we're getting ready to hunker down for the night in the basement. We're gonna blow up the air mattress and just camp out. And, it just so happens that we had the pool table/ping pong table delivered today. At least we'll have something fun to do....if we can see in the dark that is (if the lights go out).

You can see how the wind is turning the leaves over. A sure sign that it's going to be bad weather.

And, I need to get my vegetables and herbs planted so they don't blow away. I had huge plans for a raised vegetable garden bed this year. But, the weather has had other plans and ruined that idea. So, everything will be growing in containers this season.  Maybe, next year. Let's hope for a better, calmer spring next year!!!!

 Lots of herbs

Variety of lettuce

new garden supplies...yay

The weather as of 4:00 p.m. Lots of wind, but very pretty still.

So, I am back into the world of blogging, after a much needed break. I am still working on the look of my blog. But, I figured why wait for that in order to return? It just means more good things to come.
Stay safe!
XO,
Sena
Update:
Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as expected here in KY. There were, however, 75 tornados, 650 reports of severe weather and 300 reports of hail across the midwest. OOOh, please let this be the last of the bad weather this year!

Hi Sena, we are hunkering down here too. So far it has not been as bad as other places, especially west of us, but who knows what can come. Be safe.

Yeah, my family up north is doing the same at the farm, but I am in this old shotgun house that does not have a basement (so I will be riding anything out in the tub!

I barely have a garden in this year too.

Your backyard is gorgeous!

Hi Sena,
So glad that it wasn't as bad as expected. I agree, it has been one crazy Spring here in Utah also. More rain than I can ever remember. I am still trying to plant annuals and veggies. Doing it between rain storms. One plus, my perennials are huge because of all the moisture. Your yard looks gorgy!

Glad to hear you're all safe and sound and that you're back in the blogging world!

Now I'm redoing our teeny weeny little bathroom! It's like I can't help myself. What was supposed to be cleaning mildew has turned into tearing down wallpaper, repainting, getting a new rug, etc. Somebody stop me!
